I believe it is 1.75" if I remember correctly

Actually a good bit smaller, the muffler slips onto an adapter ring welded to the pipe. Outlet is actually closer to inch and 9/16ths. Adapter is also smaller than 1.75", but it is an easy shim. Couple layers of beer can wall wrapped on the ring and it fits.

The narrowest part is 1.588" (40.34mm)

The main part is 1.70" (42.70mm)

The ring is 1.847" (46.93mm)

All according to my micrometer, on a brand new pipe. YRMV, especially with a well-used pipe.

A 1 3/4 inch muffler fits tight.
