Went on a night ride with my better half, and I don't know what it was tonight, but the bike ran like it had 20HP more than usual. I mean really remarkable. She ran better than usual, when I'm riding solo. Not that she's really slow at all, but she pulled really hard, even with my wife on the back. Up the hills and then back home on the superslab, I got near to redline in 5th gear about a half a dozen times without even trying hard. Mostly when I'm riding solo, I have to really whip it to get there.
Very remarkable performance tonight. I just wonder what made the difference.

that shows you that more fine tuning will release more power for you as you get closer to the ideal fuel/air mix

the temp/humidity that night just opened the door for you, with your engine saying ..."this is the mixture I really want to run on !"

cooler temp at night provides more O2 with the more dense air and leaned the mix a little.
You were riding in the mid to high range so adjust your needle first to be slightly leaner and then try the next smaller main jet. Play with it and adjust to see if you can find the very best setting for it.
