Title: Voltage regulator........
Post by B1-66er on 06/02/11 at 22:32:31

So I put on a pod filter and ran all of my wiring into my airbox to hide it, including the voltage regulator. I haven't ridden my bike since I've done this as I've been doing alot of other stuff to it. It's almost riding time and I'm wondering if the regulator will get hot enough to melt the wires. If so, where could I mount it?

Thanks

It should not, lots of folks here done it same way. Besides, you have a constant stream of fresh air over it, right?

I mounted mine on the coal canister bracket, lowest part of the bike, but then you have to do some wire splicing.

I'm not sure how much air it will get. Since I put a pod filter on, there won't be any air forced through the box. And the seat I put on sits almost directly on the frame.

Pod = cone?? Sorry, missed that. In that case... can' say how wise that is. It should get a breeze over it.
