Pls  :)
I've seen different posts with different numbers listed. Also, where I can I find one?
Thanks,

It is part 12 on this page

http://www.bikebandit.com/1987-suzuki-ls650ph-savage-p/o/m6323#sch232854

This is for my 87, I think they are all the same.

Thanks! It seems like there is some confusion about which part number is the most current.
This post says this one is the newest: http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1240938592

11145-41B01

So, this one is old and I want to use the one you reference? Sorry, just want to get the right one and do this once. I have a 2001.

Sorry to say I'm gonna' confuse the issue even more...

There are two versions, and the newer is better... more solid...
The one Digger shows looks like the newer one,(I've done three of these)...
...but, when I do a search at Ron Ayers.com, I get a different number.

Hold off ordering 'till someone else clarifies... I just can't find the correct info for ya'...

Sorry... Versy?.. you got it?...

I can check my other computer later, see if I made a note...

Like Serowbot said, hold on.  When I replaced my plug, I got the more solid one as well.  I thought this was a new and improved version of the old one. :-?

My notes say I bought 11145-41b01 and it was the newer more solid version...
I wonder if they didn't keep the same number and just upgrade the part...
Just hope you don't get old stock...

Strangely... Ron Ayers shows this number for newer models...
11145-37401
http://www.ronayers.com/ProductDetails/N/687/SKU/122578
... and this for older...
11145-41B01
http://www.ronayers.com/Search/N/687/PartNumber/11145-41B01/Source/SU

... but, like I said,... I bought the 11145-41b01 and it was the newer, thicker one...

Clear as mud, right?...
I say get the 11145-41b01... :-?...

OK, I went back and looked and my numbers were no where near what Serowbot's were.  Strange.  I ordered mine from Bike bandit, but I would think they would have the same suzuki number.  The fiche said the number I orderd would fit newer bikes as well.  IDK.  Hope for the best, I guess.

I just did this 2 weeks ago:

From Ron Ayers:
SKU: 122580
Mfg. Part Number: 11145-41B01

Part # was newer cap.
Gave them the number at a local dealer here. They ordered it and the newer one came.

Nice and dry down there now ;)

I did not, but a good friend who works on Motorcycles did the work.
Paid him $110 took around 5 hours.

Worth every bit of it.

I do general maintenance like oil and breaks..the motor I haven't opened by myself. I watch and learn when I have time be there when he works on it.

Ordered mine. I'll have to decide if I want to mess with it. I'm about to pull the tank off anyway, so maybe I'll just bite the bullet.

Go for it!...  I did mine a few months ago when the snow was flying.  It's really not that bad of a job.   :)

Just prepare by reading thru the Tech posts here and take your time.  If you do happen to run into any problems, come here first.  Lots of help here from the forum "oldtimers"!

I haven't torn into the bike yet to replace it. I have a tank I want to paint first and swap out at the same time. It may be a few weeks.

Till then.....drip...........drip.........drip.......
