Is there an engine removal guide on here? I haven't found one yet but I know there's like a 10,000 step procedure in the Clymer's manual.

Remove the...
seat
tank
exhaust
carb
battery
bat box
left shock
belt off pulley
motor mounts
wiring

yank the engine out and throw it up on the bench

about 2 hours.

I didn't have to totally remove the left shock just had to loosen the bolt so the belt guard could slide out. My guard has a slot in the rear mounting hole.

If you're leaving the drive pulley on the engine, then the shock has to come off along with the covers.

If you even remotely think you're gonna take off the drive pulley... do it before you take the engine out.

BTW a 9mm socket dropped between the belt and drive pulley will stop the pulley while taking off the nut.   8-)

My bad I loosened up the rear wheel so it could slide forward to give the slack to remove the drive pulley.
