anyone know where I can get any?

I've got progressive shocks coming. I would like to do the forks as well. its standard hieght now, and I'd like to keep it that way. I've had progressive springs on other bikes and loved the improved ride

before you go buying new springs try this...undo the fork caps and take out the spacer underneath. Find a peice of pvc pipe that has the same OD and cut it an inch or so longer than the metal spacer. Theres your new spacer. Put it back in the tube, put the cap back on, take it for a ride and see what you think.

I don't know why you would want to add to your spacers 1 inch would make it a lot stiffer unless you are real heavy,I cut 3/8 inch off my metal spacers and it rides slightly better and isn't to soft. I weigh 155.I have progressive fork springs in my Suzuki 1500 and it rides softer.

I've never really thought about changing the front springs. I am about 210# and bottom out the rear end but no real complaints about the front.

Another simple way to experiment is to change the viscosity of the oil in the forks. You can use ATF for one mod, but it only comes in one weight. There are other brands of fork oil available in different weights (viscosities) that are made specifically for this kind of thing: tuning the compression and rebound damping of the forks.

When you change the oil, make sure of two things: Get all the old oil out (drain, compress, drain, compress, etc.,.... take your time), and be sure to use exactly the specified quantity of replacement oil.
