What are the specs of the Oil Drain Plug on a 2001? I've searched the forum and googled it, can't seem to find it even though I KNOW I read it on here not but a few days ago. Go figure.

M12 or M14 x 1.25 don't remember which.

wonder if it's in the tech section.

Well the problem is the bolt is stuck. I don't want to remove it until I have a new bolt to put in.

I was considering purchasing the magnetic plug, but I'm cheap and a $.50 plug as opposwed to $10 plus shipping seemed like the way to go.

But I'm also a a newbie and haven't heard of the magnetic plugs until this point. I know they are supposed to catch the metal floaties in the oil that are missed by the filter. If they are highly reccomended over just a stock bolt I'll certainly toss out the bones for one.

Are magentic plugs good to put in. I have not done an oil change yet and was going to do it soon. Should i look into getting a magnetic plug.

yes, or magnetize the oil filter, see tech section for info.

Vers you are so knowlegeable<sp> thank you. I already read up on the oil filter magnetization. I am learning so much from all of you.
