Title: ryca builders a little help?
Post by RpNSht on 05/21/11 at 12:22:55

while dismantling my headlight and starter switch housing units i took photos of the insides to use as reference when re-assembling them. turns out i accidentally deleted these images. so im asking for some help from my fellow ryca builders. anyone out there mind posting a few photos of the guts of the switch housing units so i can see how the springs, screws, and switches line up? im afraid without photos ill be puzzled for a long long time. ugh

thanks in advance for the help! its truly appreciated

RpNsht,

Here are 35 pics on photobucket:

Looks like the switchery on the 2002 LS650 I bought for the Dual RYCA Build has not been apart in maybe a decade -- dust, dirt, spider webs, little dead bugs. It all worked fine before I took it apart, though, eh?

Some sample pics from the photobucket page:

Here's a tip,...  Use a magnetized screwdriver for the little screws used to reassemble the switches, for two reasons:

   1. It is a lot easier to get those $&^#ing little screws back in those *@#^ing little holes while you hold everything in alignment.

   2. You won't lose as many little screws. >:(

Sweep the floor first, so IF anything hits the floor, it wont hide in a dustpan load of junk & toss some rags down, so stuff cant run across the floor for 10 feet.
