Title: header bolts
Post by BurnPgh on 05/10/11 at 15:33:12

Have my bike at school currently being painted. Some sh*thead decided to swipe some small bits and peices, among them, one of my exhaust header bolts. Anyone know offhandedly the size, thread pitch, length? Didnt think to bring the remaining one home, just locked all my stuff up and i havent got class again until friday.

Meaning it's an 8mm bolt that's 35mm long.

M8 flange head bolts, like the ones used on the Savage, are almost always 1.25mm pitch. Non-flange head, and socket head M8 bolts are almost always 1.5mm pitch.

Flange head bolts make washers unnecessary.

Flange head bolts also usually have a higher tensile strength rating. Most of them are rated 10.9 versus regular hex head and socket head are usually 8.8.

Yea, some people are. I've got a pretty good idea who it is though, and I'm frankly fed up with him. If I can prove it was him im just going to knock him the fuhq out. He needs it for his own good. He's widely known to steal, destroy, and vandalize other peoples personal property, and school equipment. No cameras in the shop so administartion wont/cant pursue it. This is not the first issue I've had with this kid. He's a typical stuck up spoiled white suburbanite with a rich lawyer daddy and a enabling mother. He doesn't DO anything. Doesnt even bother to get into shop clothes, just causes trouble.

In school being an a$$hole - you're rebellious and cool.
In real life being an a$$hole - you get knocked out.

Hard lesson to learn, but I dont mind being the teacher.
