I have an 87 and need a new air filter. I have ordered one online and have been waiting almost a month due to out of stocks and what not. It's driving me crazy. It should actually be here in the next couple of days but at this point I am super frustrated.

Will the K&N filters for the others years work, maybe with a little liquid gasket to create a good seal? Or are they too different?

I am running a Hi Flo Filtro or something like that. I checked on an OE and it was about $40. I ordered another HFFiltro from my dealer for $15. I have 7,000 miles on my last one with no problem. And it is a direct bolt on for a stock airbox.
