Title: oil filter mod?
Post by dystormy79a on 05/05/11 at 22:19:13

on my old bike (1989 yamaha fj1200) there was a mod for changing to a screw on type oil filter. i was wondering if anyone has seen or heard of one for the savages?

Nope,...
but, if you figure it out,... I'm gonna' do it... ;)...

So, what's the deal?...  you just gotta' thread the hole?...
Then,... or probably before that... figure a cheap screw-on replacement...
What are the Yammer-hammer's using?...

Give us link to the mod and we'll see if we can do it.

off hand, think it'll push your ankle out.

get a remove filter set up, plug it in to the 2 pressure ports and plug the cross over.  then you can mount it anywhere you like.
