Title: Do new handlebars need to be drilled for controls? Post by LostMohican on 05/02/11 at 18:02:00 I want to get some Biltwell Keystones for my bike, but have heard that there are pre-drilled holes for the controls to rest in. Obviously I haven't yet taken off the hand controls to check. That will be tomorrow. Any suggestions? |

Title: Re: Do new handlebars need to be drilled for contr Post by NameNotInUse on 05/03/11 at 10:20:23 I just stuck on a set of HD sportster bars and will be filing off the nub on the indicator assembly tonight. I installed and rode with it as it was but the indicators are turned too high up and I honk my horn more than I indicate now. I don't consider that safe ... or funny. I wouldn't try drilling unless you're super skilled and have a drill press. For me, it's the grinder attachment and my dremmel! |

Grinding a nub seems so much easier.. |
Title: Re: Do new handlebars need to be drilled for contr Post by arteacher on 05/03/11 at 14:09:36 I grind a small flat on the pipe and then punch it, then start with a small drill and work my way up to the size that I need. |
