Hi

the speedo cable on my 89 savage broke so I oredered a new on when it arrived the gearbox end was wrong the one supplied has a slot while the old one had a fin on it to fit in to a slot on the drive in the gearbox.
I have since found out before I bought the bike it has been fitted with a later (5 Speed) engine - Ihad never counted the gear changes before! is it the 5 speed that has the cable with a fin on it

I have an '88, a '96 and a '02.
the cables are all the same.
all have fins on the cable and a slot in the engine.
