Hi All
Does anyone know of another cable other than stock that will fit an '86? Checked for a new OEM at dealer and they are saying 2 months back order!!! Mine has the jacket broke right at the adjustment on the grip.

The RYCA boys found a custom length cable.
I'm sure the same mfr can make you one to the stock length.

You might even be able to pick up a used one from them.

Here's a source for custom cables -- even if it's just a copy of the stock cable. You can send them your cable with any notes about different length or whatever, and they'll whip up a new one. I have no idea what it costs, though.
