Title: Jardine Rumblers too loud / Back firing Post by scroop on 04/21/11 at 17:50:35 I recently installed a Jardine Rumbler slip-on muffler on my 2005 S40. Although I like the look, it is a bit too loud for me. Is it possible to get some type of baffle insert? I would also like to minimize the back firing and have been told that I should consider rejetting the carbs and installing a velocity stack. Any suggestions? I'm new to this and I am not a mechanic, but am constantly modifying things to fit my wants and needs. Any input is appreciated. ---Scroop |

Open up the exhaust & its just WURSER,,, rejet, fo sure. plenty O info on that out there, its easy, too.. dont ven hafta pull the carb out. A Dyna muffler may be what youd like. if $$$ is no object, Supertrapp is th best power option, but a dyna looks real nice & sounds good & is cheap & does boost power some, too.. |

Title: Re: Jardine Rumblers too loud / Back firing Post by dv8savagerider on 04/22/11 at 13:49:47 I have a 01 savage and also added the Jardine rumblers slip ons and it backfired worse than before until I did the white spacer mod, added a stage 2 carb jet kit, and K&N Air filter. Had to tweak the air fuel mix a bit but now it runs like a top and I actually love the sound 8-) |
