Title: I hate surgery Post by Chopped on 04/08/11 at 17:50:01 So three hip surgeries down... another one pending and I found out today I need surgery on one knee and possibly the other one as well! I guess I may not be riding at all this year! >:( :( :-/ :'( :'( :'( :'( |

I had surgery for massive rotator cuff tear, courtesy of some old lady pointing her big car at me and hitting the gas. 6 months on disability, and wearing one of those big arse sling things. I was riding on the 6th month. Yeah, I wasn't 100% and it still hurt like hell, but I started with short rides and was scraping pegs soon after. Good luck, and a speedy recovery. |

Did the rehab and haven't had any problems. I've even been able to keep refereeing soccer and softball, Most important still riding. Good luck and keep us up to date on your progress. |

I do agree with you about the dulling the senses -- the effective ones make you feel drugged -- "Am I awake or asleep? Let's see, are my eyes open? If they are, I must be awake..." I never did see the fun in abusing those things -- the therapeutic doses are nasty enough! |
