Title: Evap canister deleted? Post by Fujisawa Rob on 03/31/11 at 18:10:23 Looks like the Previous Idiot ripped out the evap canister and left the vacuum lines dangling. I should be able to plug the vacuum line to the carb, right? As far as the tank, can I put a small filter on that line as a breather, and does it need a check valve of some sort? Thanks! |

Title: Re: Evap canister deleted? Post by verslagen1 on 03/31/11 at 18:49:28 I took all the line past the carb off and stuck the line forward so I see if it's leaking. Of course it's directly over the header. :o take the line and stick it up the frame like the other vent tubes. and cap the carb. |

If I cap them, the bike wants to stall. Do I just need to adjust the idle? How can I tell if the gas cap is vented? I haven't pulled to fuel tank off yet to see where the vent line goes, if there is one. I bought the bike with a box of parts, including the evap canister that was removed. Is it possible this was a California bike? He gave me a spare carb and a stator, too. And a pretty chrome starter that I installed today :) |

Is this where the evap canister would go if I left it Cali emissions? Should these just be left open to the atmosphere? I'm going to replace the lines and run them up the frame above the carb. |
