Title: Question about Snowblowers
Post by rl153 on 03/19/11 at 09:45:03

I changed the oil in my snowblower and mistakenly allowed less than a 1/4 teaspoon of gas to mix with 26oz of oil in the process . Is that going to be a problem when I start it ,or is it little enough that it doesn't matter? Thanks!

Just guessing, but I think if you just leave the filler cap off for a day or so, it will evaporate out.

See if others agree, before you take what I think as gospel...

If Serowbot says it ,it must be true.
If it were me I would just leave it.

-makes the oil thinner- less viscosity

I hate changing oil- messy and gives me a headache when I get it on my hands now- years ago not a problem - maybe all of that gas I've swallowed siphoning from one car to another! ;)

Pssst!... I have it on good authority that,... people that work at Best Buy are... (whisper) ...aliens!.... :-?...

PS,... if you haven't started your snowblower yet,... the gas has probably evaporated...

Serowbot ,I left the filler cap off for a couple of days . I think that was a good idea . I didn't have good luck tho with the pcv valve on my car . Somehow pulling the old one out ,I messed up something electrical ,and now the car is at the mechanics . Oh well.

I've rebuild a couple of snow blowers and have an Antique Rupp Roadster mini-bike that has a snowblower motor on it.

You'll be fine.
