Bot, thanks for the heads up. Sorry you
had problems and got sunburned.
How'd you get your bike home?
No worry on burning here, we just rust. ;) kim

Good ridin' buddy Gerry went down the mountain and brought me back a battery...
Other buddies went up, and brought me back a drink...
It's good to have buddies...
.. but while they took the high road and the low road road... I just sat and fumed, and got solar toasted... no shade...and I'm pale... the sun's funny here at 7,000ft,... it don't feel that hot, but you burn like it's 100' degrees in the valley... there was even still snow up there....
I feel like a human Pop-tart... ;D...

PS,... Gerry's a member here... he just got a Harley... but he still likes his Savage best... he just got the Hog for longer highway treks...
Here's Gerry ready for his dash back down for my battery...

... nothin' left for me to do, but document my failure... good thing I brought my camera... :-?...

Sucks is right. But wanna trade that sunburn for about 2 ft of rain ?
I have to be curious,.....
Did it quit running, or did it just not start,......and if so did you try to tow start it ? Just curious if they will run on just the charging system.

Hey Bot, so nice your buddies were there
and helped you out.
Your friend Jerry looks very happy on the
bike. So nice to see sunshine, yet sorry
you got the bad effects from it.
I guess you will have plenty of Vitamin D
now.. ;)
Hugs and nice to hear you and your bike
made it back home safely. :) kim

So his batteries sux, too bad, tell us how he treats you as a vendor.
and give us a good picture of the battery so we can throw darts at it.

I will,... I have sent them a message telling them what happened and asking for an RMA and refund.  I'm not interested in a replacement, as this battery is not suitable for MC use... and, because I've already replaced the battery...

The pic in their E-bay ad showed a battery with proper lead posts... I was shocked when I saw the cheap tin lugs on the one I received... but I tried it anyway... My mistake... I didn't realize that the tin posts were just lightly soldered to the top, I thought they must extend into the body of the battery...
Not so... The solder joint was the size of a BB...

Curious people need to know...  was the battery made in China?

In a slightly more serious strain, I jumped my Savage and ran it for a couple..so it is definately time for a replacement.  So what did you get.. AGM, standard, Lithium, Gel??

AGM from Batteries Plus...  'cause I had to have it right away.
Big Crank on-line is cheaper.
The "UP Yours" model was AGM too. It just had for sh!t terminal posts...

Update...

Batterygeek did send me a full refund, without having to return the battery or go to E-bay court...

So that's good...  Good vendor,.. but still a bad battery, not recommended...

;)...

Weenie roast?...

Nice to know you had my back... ;)...

I still wanted to make this post, to warn others that this battery is not adequate for a motorcycle,... because I had mentioned that I ordered it in another battery post.
