Has anyone tried to convert the Savage to a kicker? Figured it might be worth asking!

I have been searching. It seems it would be fairly straight forward if you take a kicker and adapting it to the starter gear. Would just need to make some braces to keep from bending the kicker shaft. I would love to try it. could eliminate the batter all together if done right! That would be super if you ask me!

what about taking a kickstart off a dirtbike of similar size and modify it to the savage?

Here's one of the recent threads. Sorry, I didn't really re-read it, just did a quick search for it, cause I remembered it, but it may give you some answers/suggestions.

And if you are having trouble searching, most people who have trouble have not changed the time frame drop-down menu. "Post was made in the last..." The default is "week", so not as many results pop up.
