Which cruise controls or throttle locks have been used successfully on these bikes?

I have this one http://www.motorcyclegear.com/parts/accessories/cruise_controls/sound_off_recreational/vista_cruise_motorcycle_cruise_control.html. I even bought from it from NewEnough/MotorcycleGear. You can see it in this picture: http://jaskowiak.cc/S40/S40%20Aug%202009%20-%200004.JPG. I'd paste the picture instead of a URL but it's really big.

The only issue I had installing it was getting the little plastic caps that are over the screws on the brake reservoir off. I cracked one and broke the other so I just left them both off.

And it's just a throttle lock to you still have to pay attention to your speed but it's nice when you're on an interstate run and want to relax your throttle arm.

I have a similar one, tho I'm not sure of the brand. It's one I picked up at the dealer where I bought the bike. I bought it specifically because I was having issues riding with carple tunnel and I sure as nuts wasn't gonna give up riding so... I had the surgery in Nov and Dec so hopefully I won't be needing to use it much anymore!

I will agree that it only lock the throttle so you have to keep an eye on road conditions and be prepared to disengage it quickly if needed. I've also noticed that after riding a while I may have to pull over and tighten the set screw (the vibrations loosen it and it will begin to slip). It also takes a little getting used to flipping it on, but it's pretty usefull once you do. Over all, I love it for long rides, but only use it to get the feeling back in my hand, so it's not engaged for long (I can't help but feel like I have less "control" when it's engaged, I mean it's one more thing you have to think of if a situation arises). I have a vista cruise throtle lock. I google it and the ones I saw didn't lok exactly like mine, those are probably new and improved. I think that is what the others seemed to have as well. I really like mine, it is not a cruise control, the speed is not perfect for miles and miles, but it is a very good product.

I got mine for Christmas a couple of years ago, so I have no idea how much they cost. it went on very easy as well. I know if mine quite today, I would be looking for another one.

I also tried those paddle things, cramp busters or what ever they are called. I did not like them at all. It got hung on the not rotating end of the grip and I did not slow down like I was trying to do. I was not a happy camper after that!

I've got the VistaCruise one like SnakeLady has, and really like it. Like she said, it's nice to be able to let go of the throttle and move your arm and hand around if it cramps up.

I tried one of those paddle things too, and didn't much care for it. Gave it to a buddy, he didn't like it either. ;D

+1 Vista here also.

It's pretty useful. It's been on there since early 2007 so I have no clue about part number. Install was pretty easy, measure twice cut once!
