Title: Where It goes? Post by jandaso on 03/08/11 at 17:51:18 I was taking the engine cover and literally this fell off on the ground and I dont have any idea where it goes. I'm thinkin it's part 34 or 42 in this schematic: http://www.bikebandit.com/2008-suzuki-ls650-savage/o/m17373#sch552709 There is also a washer on the upper belt guard mount, but yours looks too big to be that. |

'95 and later, and you took that cover off, and the washer magically appeared. comon fella's you should all know this one. put it back in the wrong place and the starter won't turn. ringing a bell yet? You gotta gear in there that came loose when you took the cover off. it has 2 different sizes. that washer and one just like it go on either side of it. |

Wait a minute, it was it stuck to the flywheel after I put the sidecover back on. It made one heck of a noise when the bike started. |

For everyone's reference - if in doubt as to where this washer goes... pull the starter, reach in with your finger and check the 2 gears. They both should have noticeable end play with the cover torqued down. |
