Title: Oil Pressure Gauge Post by Fuzzy5150 on 02/22/11 at 14:16:52 Has anyone ever installed an oil pressure guage? If so, where can I tap into an oil galley? Thanks, |

Title: Re: Oil Pressure Gauge Post by T Mack 1 - FSO on 02/24/11 at 16:21:15 For cold weather starting, when the oil is cold and thicker making the pump get higher pressures, you need a gauge at least 60 psig. Or, what I eventually did is put a small valve on the line (at the gauge) and shut off the line when it was below about 60 deg F. When the engine warmed up, I would reach over the top and turn the valve to the on position. |

Mind you if your worried about running low or your pump packing up it would give peace of mind. |

Actually, with the cam floating on an oil film on an aluminum journal, it is a bit of a concern. |
