Title: finicky cold weather start
Post by carlostheobscure on 02/13/11 at 13:58:59

First ride since New Year's Eve, also the first afternoon with temps above 40.  Started on first crank w/choke out.  Tried a couple times in the prior interval to turn it over on days in the 20's and 30's without success (using prime on petcock in conjunction w/all choke settings).

Seemed like that did the trick last winter with cold weather starts but not this winter.  09 w/ 8700 miles on it.   Doubt that I'll have any problems for a while as this marks the first day of spring in Columbus, OH AFAIC and the bike is now in front of the house instead of the back and will be being run any days that aren't rain/snow outs...peace, carl
