Title: replacement throttle clamps?
Post by groupus on 01/31/11 at 12:12:05

so i've been toying with the idea of cleaning up my handlebars (aka get rid of the electrical switches). I figure that i can relocate the switches to a few different places, but the throttle cable attaches to the right one. I know a few people have done this. what is a good replacement for the ugly stock throttle cable clamp/box? Would this work?

doing this on the cheap is the priority. I want to be able to use as many stock components as possible (cable, grip, elbow, etc.)

Thanks for the help

I believe the throttle tube will be different.
But they are similarly priced for a new one.

so you're saying to get a throttle tube to go with the housing? would the stock savage grips fit on a harley (or whatever matching brands i use) tube or would i have to buy new grips too? $$$
any other options to do this?

The grips should be ok if you can get them off.

Just be prepared to get a throttle tube.  search and you'll see some are different than ours.
