Post by MotoBuddha on 01/30/11 at 17:32:05 Here's another variation: http://www.autoandmotorcycle.com/merchant.ihtml?pid=1966&lastcatid=89&step=4 I was talking with LANCER about muffler options since he seems to know his performance stuff. If I remember correctly, he said shorty mufflers hurt power. |

Title: Re: anybody ever use this muffler on their build? Post by T Mack 1 - FSO on 02/02/11 at 14:08:12 I had a Dyna turn-out on mine. Loved the look but boy was it loud. The freer flowing muffler gave me more response at the top end. I was on a ride with friends and we went to pass a car. Took my 200 lbs from about 50 to 85 before I realized how fast I was going. Zipped by my neighbor on his Harley. Yea, I might have lost some at the low end, but Savages have so much torque at the low end, I never noticed. Also, the turn-out kept the the soot from building up rear brake arm. http://www.users.fast.net/~tommack/Tom-LS650-5.JPG |
Title: Re: anybody ever use this muffler on their build? Post by Lawsonwelding on 03/13/11 at 08:10:30 I did try that shorty muffler , it sounded very high pitched so i ended up baffling my pipe and cutting the muffler off at its thickest part , currently its basically a tip. |
