They were from Jirehcycles.com, part# 50-221, 32.77" wide, 9.13 inch high, 7.19" pull back, $26.95. A little narrower since I cut 1 1/4 inch off the ends.

Im happy w/ my drag bars on the 05, but that looks like it would work out just fine & it looks good. No one would look at that & laugh. Its not Over the Top at all. Those mirrors out wide enough, since the arms are above them a bit? Helps doesnt it?

You'll be able to lean back and relax with those! When I had my 10" apes on mine I actually had them pushed forward quite a bit so I would have to lean forward more, but I like the way those look even better!

I am sitting dead straight up, hands a bit below shoulder height, slightly bent elbows.

I got the bars 'cause the stock were not quite perfect. I sat on the bike, closed my eyes, held my hands, opened my eyes to look where the bars should have been at.

Have not been a big fan of Apes, but I must say those look great! Sleek, sexy, great fit. Natural looking. Awesome!

If they were a few inches shorter, would they still be apes? Or would they just be monkey bars?

Good, might change the grips. The new grips are leather, padded -- less vibration, but fatter. May need thinner.

I had apes on my pedal bike back in the early '60's.
