Title: Please help!?
Post by brendon on 01/10/11 at 17:51:17

I just bought some handlebars, and a headlight off of ebay. Can someone please tell me how to install them? I am really new to this whole motorcycle thing. The headlight seems pretty simple it's mainly the handlebars i need help with.

For the shell, just two nuts under neath, the bolts pass thru from the top and sandwich rubber pads.

put a pad on the tank to keep from scratching it, might as well do the same on the fender.

take off the mirrors and controls, you can either take off the grip on the left side or slide the clutch perch to the other side after you get the bar off.  Take the master off.

if the old bars are stock too, you'll notice they're drilled for the controls.  The controls have little pins to put them in the right place.

now you're ready to take off the bars, the clamps may have bolt caps installed, they're just plastic, get a sharp edge under and pry up.  Then use an allen wrench and remove the clamps.

Halfway there, just put every back in reverse order.

Several options for after market shell.

You can use a bottom mount harley light, you need the lens assembly too.

Or...
