Title: Replace rear turn signal
Post by Baldeagle on 12/02/10 at 11:32:03

Will be replacing the left rear turn signal. (torn off while plowing up a man's front yard)  .  The big question is do I have to remove the rear wheel??  Hope this will be a strait forward replacement.

Remove the rear wheel?  Nope, but you have to remove the side rail, which can be a booger if you have big hands...

if you cant get your mitts in the fender well
you can unbolt one end of both shocks, jack the bike up from under the engine and let the swing arm sag to gain more space...

I just removed a turnsignal and had to loosen the side rail.  I also had to remove the bolts holding the sissy bar on.

i took mine off and mounter my blinkers to the side of my liscence plate. i have long skinny fingers and the only tough nut was the front one oppopsite of the exhaust side. the rest were easy.

When they build the bike, they start with the turn signals and build everything else around them.
