So I have been having a problem with my carb....finally got my new emulsion tube.  re jetted. went out for a ride and bad news...so  I went back.  re jetted again....still bad.  Hmmmm.  So I ended up with a D142 Main and a 60 idle.  (Dynojet Main)  And put the old emulsion tube back in and Abra cadabra ala peanut butter and jelly sandwich it worked. At work I always have to go the opposite direction.  Harleys always take a bigger than recommended jet.  The kit recommended a 144... Now I can go wide open throttle without it bogging out.  Clutch is still slipping even worse now though.  So while at the dealership I ordered all 3 sizes of clutch arms.  I dont know whats in it now.  So According to what I read I need a longer clutch arm rod?  When I looked at the adjustment level I'm up at the top. and longer would move it down?  Anywho life is good.

OF ( I think) has the most time studying this & I think he has the understanding of what does what to the other parts & how it all plays out, But, all that said, Im pretty sure that as long as ther is slack in the clutch lever, your clutch pack is being crimped as tight as possible. If its still slippin, then ya just gonna hafta lay hands on the clutch pack guts. OF may be able to hook ya up with another disk to stuff in it.

longer rod lowers the actuation lever

shorter rod raises it ( and you run out of actuation travel)

The clutch plate wear actually does very very little to things, cable stretch and rod wear do a lot more.

Sounds like you are just about out of adjustment range .....

Yes, just slightly at the upper end of the adjustment.  Its just too much fun to slap it wide open but the engine just winds up and no go go.  So for now I have to wind into it.  I put a clutch cable off a Harley Ultra on there.  which matches my clutch perch (harley) and gives me some better adjustment range.  Although its a little way too long of a cable.  So Now I am just waiting for all the parts to come in.  I cant wait to get this thing back on the dyno but there is no point until I fix this problem.

The cable adjusts down on the mount pedestal, too, not just at the handlebars.

Justin,  I don't think he's following either one of us .....

If he doesn't get his lever arm throw right no matter what he does with his harley cable isn't going to help him any.   And he may bust his powdered metal pusher eccentric in the cover too running at the end of the travel like that.

And fer shure if he keeps on "skidding" his plates by slipping them all the time they will glaze up on him and he'll be putting him in a new clutch eventually.

And when we tell him he doesn't need to do that, just de-glaze them and put in the correct push rod we'll get another "huh?"
