So I bungee strapped it to the back seat. They said I just had to have it "on the bike" to pass WV inspection. So I put it face down just to rub it in!

Of course you have to have a speedo. When a cop stops you, the first thing he asks is, " how fast do you think you were going". This is to get a defacto confession from you or to catch you in a blatent lie so that if you go tocourt with it your credibility is in question from the start.
The proper answer to the question is , "How fast do you say I was going?" Never admit to anything, and never lie about anything. last resort is say nothing at all. Leo will press you to talk but it is not in your advantage to do so.

Or you could just wear a speedo

Hell yea it had to pass. All of everything else was good. but this was a long debate in the shop...so it came down to having a speedo " on the bike" so I put it on and got my sticker...now the speedo is on my bench at home. Although when I get pulled over for speeding that wont work with the officer. So I tag along behind a car on my way to work everyday.
