Title: BUSTED MY BUTT
Post by Baldeagle on 11/01/10 at 08:29:46

KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN.  Laid my ride down Oct 8th. Broke my left leg and right arm, spent three weeks in the hospital and will be confined to the bed and wheel chair the next four weeks.  Keep a 'heads up' and ride safe!!!

Sorry to hear about your accident.   Bike wrecks hurt, and generally hurt more when you get older.

When you feel up to it, if there is anything for the rest of us to learn from your experience please feel free to educate us some.

Aw crap!  Sorry to hear it.  We've had a few similar reports lately, and I hate them all.  Best wishes for a speedy recovery.  Did the bike fare better than you?

Doing speed limit.........braked hard.....missed my 'out'  by inches...back of cycle clipped right rear of car......probably down to 15 mph or less.  no damage to car.  only damage to cycle is a broken left turn signal and damaged left saddle bag.  happened 500 ft from home.  neighbor said bike looked great but i was pretty bummed up.  advice?  my helmet was the life savor for my face....the shield is scratched up bad.  opened my eyes to see nothing but grass....cycle on left leg.

It is true, most accidents happen close to home.  That makes it a dangerous place.  That is why I moved.

Tim the Tool Man became a vagabond. He has yet to be seen in the emergency room since he walked away from civilization.

Thanks for all the kind words and get well wishes.  Someone ask me if I was going to 'get on the horse' again.  The horse faired better than I did and will not have to shoot it.  I had heard accidents do happen with in 3 miles of home......but 500 ft?!!!!!

Thanks again....and ride safe
