Jonathon Carrillo-Lopez, 22, of Pacoima, was stopped at the red light (eastbound on San Fernando Mission Boulevard at Balboa). The light turned green and he did a wheelie through the intersection, lost control, ran off the road and impacted the pole. His bike continued about 200 feet in a southeast direction.

An autopsy was scheduled for later same day.

Actually the wheelie wasn't the problem. It was the pole.
You just can't trust them slavic types.

I'm always at a loss when I hear about something like this. Sad, yes. Wheelie through the intersection, not too smart. Makes all riders look bad to the general public. Maby just natural selection at work. Still sad. ---Luke

What is sad is that no one has shown any feeling for the bike.
It was just following orders. No one asked how bad it was hurt or will it get better.
And now it has to find a new home.
