I need to set my idle. what Tach do you use? Do you need to x2 or /2 the reading? cheaper the better and I am going to only use it to check my idle.

I have a dwell/tach Ive had since the mid 70's. It just clips onto the battery & has a pickup that clips around the plug wire. Cost me about 39 bucks back then, I guess in todays dollars, it wouldnt be cheap, but maybe atrip to the auto parts store would solve your problem??
