Title: I'm strippin' my nuts... Post by Serowbot on 08/23/10 at 11:49:26 :-?... The two nuts that bolt the rear of the solo seat down... Tryin' to come up with a quick-detach alternative... I'm currently messin' with hairpin type clips, but they are a little frustrating to insert and want to pop out... (bending the tip straight and inserting into the nut...) Any other ideas?... http://i600.photobucket.com/albums/tt82/serowbot/hitchpinsandclips.jpg?t=1282589147 |

Title: Re: I'm strippin' my nuts... Post by Hashbrown on 08/23/10 at 12:16:02 yeah i did this with my VTX1800. look up marine detent pins with a similar diameter as your bolts for the seat pan. you want to drill out the threads on the elbow brackets on the seat so the pin slides in. it has a locking ball detent that will allow it to seat and lock securly. works perfectly for me. |
