Title: I'm strippin' my nuts...

:-?...
The two nuts that bolt the rear of the solo seat down...

Tryin' to come up with a quick-detach alternative...
I'm currently messin' with hairpin type clips, but they are a little frustrating to insert and want to pop out... (bending the tip straight and inserting into the nut...)

Any other ideas?...

Here is what I did, I think it works great, no problems at all.

yeah i did this with my VTX1800.  look up marine detent pins with a similar diameter as your bolts for the seat pan.  you want to drill out the threads on the elbow brackets on the seat so the pin slides in.  it has a locking ball detent that will allow it to seat and lock securly.  works perfectly for me.

Ball detent pins work great for me too.  I used them when I swapped out my seat and transferred the hardware over.
