Title: of burnt pistons and oil seals Post by verslagen1 on 08/22/10 at 13:05:46 there have been a few burnt pistons mentioned and I think we've all assumed that it was due to lean carburation. Well the epa are baseturds, but there is a little referred to oil seal on the back side of the clutch cover. That little son of a gun puts its lips around the crankshaft and blows oil over to the stator and up to the piston. The only thing said about it is to check for wear and damage. Well unless you got a new one sitting around, how the heck are you supposed to check for wear? |
