Title: Shifting Lever
Post by Jimmer on 07/20/10 at 14:18:46

Does anyone know of an different shifting lever for the savage? I just purchased a new riding boot and can hardly get my boot toe under the lever to up shift. I need to gain about 1 inch in height for a easy fit. If it makes a difference I have 4 inch extenders in the bike. Just to let all know,I adjusted my belt tension, and the noise on the left side when away. Thanks to everyone for you suggestions and advise,Thank you again.

You can adjust the shift lever on bikes for the hight you want,I don't know about with extender on it.

I have the same problem.  I have a set of forward controls on mine, and when I tried to adjust the height of the shifter, I found that if I moved it any higher, the arm would hit the forward control mount without finishing the shift.

I have been thinking about trying to notch the forward controls side plate to provide some clearance so I can move it up.

With my big dead feet, i cut mine and welded an extension that moved it forward an inch and up an inch.
T'works good.
