I get hit in the chin by little pieces of sand & oil mix in summertime, riding the roads around here. I wouldnt want to ride w/ no fender. & therear fender being gone or just so short a guy cant hang bags on makes a beer run hard, tho some folks just use backpaxks. I really like the looks of bobbers, but dang , man, I Needs me fenderz! & fork brace.. Sure dig the gaitors, tho. Blast it! Its frustrating to have thge look of my bike dictated by my needs instead of simply how Id like for it to look. I shoulda got 2 of them... |

The muffler is by M4 and was on the bike when I got it, It came off the PO's husband's SV1000. The exhaust pipe was broken when I got it and the muffler was attached by a four bolt flange that was welded to the broken pipe. I got a good pipe on Ebay and took it to a local muffler shop. We weren't able to match the four bolt flange but found a two bolt that matched two of the bolts. they cut a short piece of pipe that fit over the head pipe and flared the end to fit inside the flange. Using plenty of sealant I got it leak proof. Cost me $20 or $25. I think it's one of the best sounding bikes I've ever heard. Not loud unless I open it up. I can't comment on performance because I have nothing to compare it to. Thanks for the nice comments. |

I have to get on it and finish up the rear end section. Gonna have a trailer fender and different seat and a couple of other things. There will be more flat red coming so don't worry LOL. Title: Re: Forum Bobbers Post by buggs on 07/19/10 at 15:47:57 The rims were powder coated, and the spokes rattle can painted, laced them my self then sent out for truing and balance. I did the mini-battery install (thanks to Boule'tard) and all the wires are under the seat and between the frame, covered with what I call a tunnel, located where the old air box was. I also install remote jump lugs to charge the battery if need so. |
