Title: suzuki savage and bioethanol
Post by DangMan on 07/12/10 at 11:57:35

This summer all gas stations here in Denmark have begun adding 5% bioethanol to the fuel. I remember reading some place that bioethanol isnt good for the savage but cant find it again, help plc !
If i use the fuel will it damage the engine ? or have any other negative effect ?

Are you saying we can run E-85 in our newer (2000) Sav without killing them? In a pinch it might be nice to get 20 horse power on the flats. Wouldn't that be a hoot?

What do they say?
To err is human, to arrgh is pirate.

e85 in itself won't cause any problems... It just takes more of it to do the same job as gasoline. Your bike will be running very lean on straight e85. With bigger (appropriate) jetting, you can have an alcohol screamer.

would putting bigger jets and running e85 be useful? I don't know if it is cheaper stuff. It's not like these bikes use a lot of fuel to begin with.
