Title: rear suspension bolt (bottom) spinning Post by Tiefighterpilot on 07/06/10 at 20:11:01 I was just tightening the bolts... and right rear bottom bolt just kept spinning.... yes I was holding the other end so it should have tightened. I guess it is stripped. Anyone else have issues with savage nuts and bolts? Should I replace this? or is this the way it is on the suspension bolt. |

Title: Re: rear suspension bolt (bottom) spinning Post by Tiefighterpilot on 07/06/10 at 20:14:53 Thanks. So far, it seems that suzuki really used cheap bolts, nuts and screws. I guess they needed to save $1. |

Title: Re: rear suspension bolt (bottom) spinning Post by Tiefighterpilot on 07/12/10 at 13:55:23 day 6 since ordering the bolts from Cheapparts. Even did it expedited. Sheesh.... I hate not having a bike to ride. Almost want to get a spare parts bike. |
Title: Re: rear suspension bolt (bottom) spinning Post by WD on 07/12/10 at 16:51:37 Could be worse... Intruders thread the front axle into the lower fork leg, without anti-seize... There is a reason for the old saying about Jap bikes: Ends in A may be okay, ends in I don't bother to try... I'd still rather play with the Savage than my 63 Honda though. Least I can get most Savage parts. I'm replacing my bolts as they break with hardened stainless steel. At least nothing critical has broken, yet. |
