hi could anyone tell me how to adjust the clutch cable on my wifes  01 650 savage  i went to move it yesterday and pulled the clutch in and it  has no resistence  ican see the linkage it moves  but on the clutch grip it is slack thanks me a nd cables dont get along

So you're saying that you pull the lever and it goes straight to the grip w/ease?
And on the lever next to the oil level window, does that move?

Sounds to me like the clutch actuator busted off inside the case. Would not start this thing till I kknew 4 sho it was okay in there/

the clutch lever moves with ease  , the lever on the bottom moves up slightly when i pull the clutch lever in i dont know how to tighten the cable thanks ,

Id grab the one on the right side of the motor by habnd & see how much it moves. Dont even mess w/ the clutch lever.

the lever on the right side moves up and down this making the lever handle to move , but there is no resistence to the clutch lever , im stumped.

If you can move that lever on the right side of the motor by hand & you arent a huge, muscle bound kinda guy, its busted inside.

Dont start it.

Here's the lever, check to make sure the cables attached.

If it was, and you can squeeze the lever and nothing happens, then the cables broke.
If it does and nothing happens when the lever moves then a cam inside the clutch cover is most likely broke.

could be other things but you won't know till you go inside.

Ive had mine off & Im gonna teell ya, No one was kind enough to mark it like that for me.


Mine leaks at that O-ring. Maybe a new one is in order for you, too, while youre in there.??
