I want to de-label my bike, but the tank decals are under clearcoat.

Anyone ever try and get those off?

You ever take yer socks off, while yer still wearing shoes? Not gonna get them off w/o sanding the clear off, unless you can get a little slit in the clear, right next to the decal & reach up under & slide the decal out. IF you do that, please video & post it, I REALLY wanna see that happen.

use a razorblade on the edge, heat, remove decal, then polish.

...and if your bike is red you're gonna get a big surprise! :D

The razor blade and heat gun worked for me also. It is time consuming. Good luck.

I posted some info on mine about a year ago. A search should turn up my links.
Mine is/was a 2004 with stock purple tank and silver decals
