Sorry to hear that mick,
I leave you with not a prayer
but with an annonymous
native american poem that
you might like.

Don't stand by my grave and weep
For I am not there I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond's glint on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain
In the soft rush of the morning light
I am the swift bird in flight.
Don't stand by my grave and cry
I am not there I did not die.

I'm having a cold one for him Mick. Sorry, it is the Scots-Irish-German thing to do. Seem to recall you telling us stories of his riding days. Thanks for sharing them with us. Sorry for your loss. I'm up towards Seattle if you need anything.

My thoughts are with you during your time of loss. Lost my dad last year, so I know that horrible, empty feeling in the pit of your stomach.

No words to say, just need time. It gets better.

thank you one and all,his mortal remains are at Oregon Med school doing one more thing for humanity.
I will be doing the same thing, my second wife who died last year gave her eyes to a sightless person.

Sorry to hear of your loss, Mick. He lived a long life the rest of us can only hope for.
I think it's great to give yourself to science so others can live or learn. I will also be doing the same thing when my time comes.

Mick, once again many hugs to you. I would like to thank you for sharing those wonderful pictures of your Dad and the bikes. I hope you have recorded on paper or video his journey's as well as knowledge of bikes. For you to have had your Dad all these years is such a gift. I like many wish my Dad were still here and we could have shared more years together than we had.

My best to you.. Kim  :)

He rode motorcycles which to me means he LIVED instead of just existing. You obviously got that gene! Lost my younger brother last month. Sure do miss him. He rode. A different style and type, but he rode. Peace

Mick,
So sorry for your loss. In those pics, he loked like a movie star from the 40's. I'm glad you had him for so long, and had such a good relationship with him. The memories are yours to keep, and through those he lives on. I never knew my father. I'm truly glad you had yours.
Jay
