Very nice, I like the rear turns signals there.  More pics would be good.

Looking good. You might want to put a spray skirt of some kind over that back tire... Seem to recall Frisco being rather damp...

Weird I had to get on a different Browser to see the photo.

Looks good!  8-) But, I would have to agree with WD, you might want some sort of rear fender/skirt to avoid the back spray the first time you hit a puddle  :o

Curious as to what you've got going on for the brake/tail light there, is it a Model A like others or something else? Better pic from behind would be great.

Thanks for commenting.  Here are some more pics and details of my bobb.

http://lh3.ggpht.com/_wejzwuyidIA/TBVxzIxVkII/AAAAAAAAAN8/yVHX6d46UYk/s720/IMG_0176.JPG This is what it looks like now.  I took it for my first ride in two weeks.  Boy, I didn't know how much I missed riding.  I was dreaming (seriously) like every night about riding.

The seat is from BCB.  The rear signal lights are the same one's from ebay as Babyhogs.  The tail light is from Ebay as well (more pictures below).

http://lh3.ggpht.com/_wejzwuyidIA/TBVxzgN3zFI/AAAAAAAAAOA/bSiJy6QpbzY/s720/IMG_0177.JPG
Here is the front view.  The lake is from Golden Gate Park... about 5 min from my house.

http://lh3.ggpht.com/_wejzwuyidIA/TBVx0OU1lrI/AAAAAAAAAOE/xmfFTDt_6vs/s720/IMG_0178.JPGClose up of the seat.  Very nice.  Little wide in the front than stock.  However, I did not have to ride leaning forward as with stock bike to relieve the pressure from by tail bone.  I think the stock seat is nice, but it really bother my a$$.

http://lh4.ggpht.com/_wejzwuyidIA/TBVx0d811SI/AAAAAAAAAOI/Fx7vE-PfRys/s720/IMG_0179.JPG Side view of my bike.  The header wrap is high temp titanium.  I didn't know if I would like the color, but it looks fine, so I prob will not paint over it.

http://lh6.ggpht.com/_wejzwuyidIA/TBVx0tMuXnI/AAAAAAAAAOM/EvGQaKwAYWU/s720/IMG_0180.JPG Ok, here is my rear fender.  Almost done.  I have been painting it for over a week.  I was going to take it to body shop to get it done, but they wanted almost $400.  They said it was because it was Pearl paint and needed so many coats.  So I decided to do it myself using rattler spray (Krylon and others).  I first sanded the fiber glass with 220 sand paper lightly.  Sprayed with primer on both sides.  Used very light coat to avoid running.  This took about 2 days.  After drying for 24 hours, I sanded it again using 660 wet sand very lightly.  I let it dry for about 1/2 day.  Started spraying with regular white... about 4 coats.  After drying for 24 hours, I sprayed with pearl paint from Colorite ($33 a can..expensive, but no one sold spray pearl paint).  Sprayed multiple layers over 2 days, until the color matched my original fender.  More you spray pearl, less white it got.  As you can see the color is very close.  After drying for another 24 hours, sprayed about 2 layers of clear coat on both sides.  Once it dries for 48 hours, I will polish and wax.  If you are planning on spraying... only thing to keep in mind is:  Be very very patient and follow the direction on the can.  Oh, if you have paint run, use 1500 wetsanding to get rid of that.

Very nice!! The rear fender finishes the bike perfectly! Nice job & congrats on the paint. Oh and don't paint your header wrap, it looks good like it is!

It does look sweet bro! Can I just request a close up of your license plate mount. Where'd you get that fender?

Oh yeah!  The fender makes it.  Just need to improve those front turn signals.

I like the rear fender too. I'm guessing the rear fender, Model A taillight and seat are all from BCB. Looks like a nice setup that didn't require tons of extra hours designing your own mounts.

Well done bro, well done!!!  8-)

Title: Re: Finally Bobbed

Rear fender was BCB, since it came with the seat.  The tail light was model A cheapy from ebay.  The one with glass plate.  I could not justify spending so much on just a tail and turn signal from BCB.

The lic plate holder was included in the BCB seat/fender combo.  When I mount the fender this week, the lic plate will come off.  I will take close picture.  It is really simple design and some of us should be able to fabricate it I would guess.

By the way, I rejetted today.  So much more power.  But still getting pops on decel.  I have not done the spacer mod yet... I wonder if that will fix it.  Oh, I also need to change the spark plug.

I am just super glad I can ride.  Being unable to ride for two weeks was a super drag.

My next project after getting the bike running smooth will likely be very cosmetic... either a nose art or hood ornament.  What do you think of hood ornament idea?  I thought it was good idea, but it may turn out to gaudy...

As for the hood ornaments all you can do is try, I don't mind the top babe with the flowing locks, if I were to pick. Thats just my opinion tho! Who knows, little something extra to spice it up might just be the cherry on top! or.. it could be a little to much. Take a snap with where you would want to put it in the position it would be with sticky tack! See what everyone thinks

A little undecided on the hood ornament, leaning towards not... BUT... Might change my mind if I saw one on there and liked it!

I think it needs an ornament just because the front is so close to stock.  I like the bottom one.  Or you could check out the one I have in the Marketplace.

Somebody has an awesome coin on their front fender.... but my mind is blank as to who.
Have you thought about decals?  I have been thinking about these, and they are having a 50% off sale!   http://www.cyclegraphics.com/productpages.shtml

I think its a very personal choice.... how to adorn your bike...  Go with your gut.

Yep, I remember the coin...it was a nice touch. Good job on the build tie. I've been thinking the BCB seat is the way to go also. Is that the small seat or the large?
I probably won't bob for a while (till I wreck!).
I'm getting mine to the point where I can call it a "sleeper"... ;D

Savage kit only comes with larger seat.  Very comfy on a ride.  But, it kinda digs into by inner thigh when stopped.  It is not to bad, but I didn't expect that.

I am looking for a good artist to do the nose art... shying away from store bought decals.

I just saw The Red Baron on netflix.  I am considering doing a WWI plane theme.

Painting is such a pain.  I dropped my fender and now it has a nasty nick on it.  I had to wetsand, reclear coat... one thing it is teaching me is patience.
