Title: oil leak Post by grtscot on 06/07/10 at 07:37:36 hi folks just bought my wife her first bike its a 01 650 savage , she loves it this morning in the garage i noticed oil on the floor , there under the frame there is a hard plastic teat next to a drain hose of some sort it is leaking from the plastic teat , can anyone tell me what that is for thank you, |
Title: Re: oil leak Post by mick on 06/07/10 at 08:03:12 get your self a little oil pan then take off the plastic teet and about a half a cup of dirty oil will come out,have no fear the engine is doing it's thing, you should drain that tube once a month, it's just dirty oil the engine has kicked out. Sounds like it hasn't been drained for quite a while.How many miles on it ? Welcome to our website, great scot is it ? |
