Title: Headwinds headlight mount alternative Post by Joe F on 06/06/10 at 17:51:55 Saw this on IntruderAlert. Headwinds makes a headlight adapter for the intruder and Marauder. It looks like it would work on the savage also if it doesn't but it might push the light too far fropnt. It provides a Harley type mount for the Suzuki bikes without drilling any holes. There was a picture of it with a head light on it at http://www.intruderalert.com/cafe/index.cfm?page=topic&topicID=162894 Someone also said the TM1 mounts on ebay work but it's hard to tell. I'm always looking for a "no drill no weld" option because I'm dangerous with power tools. |

HA!! http://www.dslretorts.com/Paladin/archives/000786.html But I still power tools. I did try the flat metal two bolt stock to one bolt bottom Harley headlight. And it did was too foreward: http://www.savageriders.com/paladin/images/7inch-headlight.jpg So I noticed some aluminum 1 1/2" angle, cut four pieces. Four tiny bolt/nuts drilled little holes. Bottom drilled holes for the two stock holes and a one top for the headlight. AND did not drill either the motorcycle or the headlight. http://www.savageriders.com/paladin/images/headlight2.jpg As you can see, it is looks must right: http://www.savageriders.com/paladin/images/ride_6-4-10.jpg |
