Title: Full Moon, June 26th, Saturday.
Post by Paladin. on 06/05/10 at 06:56:57

It has been over than a year since a Full Moon Ride.  We can our  virtual rides on together on a mountain or a lake; but on the Full Moon we can ride together in reality.  Late Friday, the early moon Saturday, or late into night into Sunday morning; we can ride and see that we are riding watching the same moon.

That should be a good week end for a ride.
Once summer vacation starts for the kids I'll be able to tell.

So pencil me in, tell wendy you'll be escorted.
desert again or ?

Riding weather or not, I love full moon nights.

When the full moon is riding high (almost over-head, mostly in winter) the snow cover is lit a brilliant silver white...you can read a newspaper by that brilliant white light.

When the moon is riding low (mostly in summer) it rides the southern sky, a beautiful warm honey colored yellow.

Who can't resist being outdoors on such nights. :D

Mom was the police dispatcher in Tecumseh Ok. She told me that on full moons, the calls they got went up in number, by far, & became bizarre, too.

June 25th, Friday, 11:10pm PST.  Not capable of a ride to the desert, so I took of a picture of the City.  Wendy does not want me riding alone -- and since I am getting State Disability it is difficult to argue against her.  It has been just over six weeks since my stroke and my partial dead brain.  I do have Aphasia.  Most jobs require speech and language skills, aphasia makes work difficult.

All not bad.  Yesterday had Wendy to take the dog to the clinic and I had to see the speech pathologist alone -- 9.5 miles on the 'cycle.  Naomi was surprised to hear that I was off the leash.

I'll be out riding here in Wisconsin...if it's not raining and if the wife lets me. She rags alot since I'm still unemployed and I use "all that money on gas". Especially since thanks to the G.D.F'ing Republicans, the unemployment extension bill was killed, I have 1 (one) more check coming and then I'm F'ed.
Anybody out there hiring?

Well it was too cloudy to see the moon tonight but I have enough faith to believe it's there whether I can see it or not.  The predicted rain stayed away and I had a pleasant ride thinking of all of you and being grateful for each of you.  The forum has been a great source of inspiration and support since I've joined.  Thanks to all.

Even though I couldn't see the real moon I stopped at Alexander the Great Square and used a street light to fake it.

Evening went well, a 50mile ride through some
twisty backroad I've been told numerous times
I should check out, they were right, it was quite
scenic and a lot of fun. Till next time!

I have no idea how to use modern cameras.

Simple, let the camera do all the work:

1) With good available lighting (source always behind you): just point and shoot (keep steady!).

2) Night time or low lighting: KEEP-IT-STILL!
Place on hard surface, point, use the 10sec self timer and run, done.

I'm mad at myself.  I was out after dark Saturday night, but didn't stop to take a picture of the full moon.  We had a local Riverfest going on, and we watched some fireworks, but a downpour was coming so we hurried home.

July 25th is the next one... who will get a pic of it?
