Title: Highway Bar Mount
Post by Tanker2Biker on 06/03/10 at 14:23:58

As some of you know, I have been looking for a way to mount a highway bar.  I have been thinking about it, and I built this today to mount a plain,  flat bar type.  I have not welded or drilled anything.  I used a piece of angle iron, and would drill through it and the aluminum plates from the Ed L forward control kit.

I would appreciate it if some of you could take a look at these photos and tell me if there is some reason I should not go ahead and have the welding and drilling done.  I have looked at where it would go,  and it does not appear that it will contact or interfere with the brake linkage or shift linkage.

Do you mean between the top of the brake pedal and the bottom of the highway peg?  How much would you need to feel comfortable?  I have never had bars or ridden a bike with them, so I have no idea

#10 boots..
this is something you have to workout for yourself..
4 me am thinkin you need to go taller(higher)from the bottom b4 you weld..
got your pegs yet?
get some clamps and do a mock up for YOUR comfort range ...
hope this helps..
