Title: Redone seat
Post by mikelhsr1982 on 05/27/10 at 13:07:54

Here is my redone seat.  First time recovering one.  I guess this will do until I get my springer setup.  Tell me what you think.

That looks good and durable.  I bet it's satisfying to use - did the original split?   That's what I would do too.

The original one was in decent shape, but it looked like an honey comb and I didn't like it at all.  After putting the bike back together to see what it looks like with the new paint and seat cover; Ive decided that its to bulky and Im just gonna get a springer setup.

Hey man that's exactly what I went thru. I was gonna use my seat, but It was so butt-a$$-ugly that I decided to go with a solo. I opted to hard mount it without springs so it would sit lower.
I tell ya man, that seat was a good decision! My new one has waaayy better foam in it and is contoured just right... It really does feel good. Took me a little trial & error to get the angle just right, but I'm loving it now!!

I think you're making a good move!

Thanks man, I been looking at this one here, http://www.crc2onlinecatalog.com/Index_Main_Frame.htm, the price seems ok,  nothing to fancy

It ain't gotta be nothing fancy... That's the beauty of it

Thats why I like bobbers.  Nothing fancy, no bells and whistles, just barebone.
