Title: What a bike!
Post by photojoe on 05/22/10 at 12:40:55

Still can't get over how wonderful the Savage performs, and how reliable she is. Just rolled over 22K, and came to the conclusion that this was the absolute best motor vehicle purchase I've ever made (coming from a 50 year old), and for only $1000 to boot ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Even though I did sell my beloved Savage it was a sad day. But I always wanted a little ninja, and that was a great bike in a different way, if my hand had healed I would have gotten another one.
It was like an old shoe ,very comfy, relaxing, just a great bike all round.

Don't give up yet, Mick...  My old dog had a paralyzed hind leg for several years, and it came back to 100% eventually...

It ain't over, 'till it's over... ;)...

Savage is flaming quick on the light. City motorcycle.

Managed to do 65-70 mph in the Interstate using 570 miles and 510 miles day by day.

With the half the cost!

...

I have bone nearly fixed, but wife wants me to drive with out the stroke.  Maybe, but I do not understand while as I can ride as some as I can drive.  I still do not to must in a cage!

Mick, I think I'm gonna buy a Ninja 250r next year. Are there many available mods for the ninja? Exhaust...carb...etc.?

I'm sure there are,the exhaust being the major one,it's so bloody quiet. I like a little rasp.
Once you get this little bike in it's hot rev area 5 to 6 thousand RPM, it is a flying machine, and it was the best handling bike I ever rode.
Midnightrider got one just after me he loves it too,and he has made quite a few mods, mostly about comfort, he makes 3 to 4 hundred mile runs weekly ,he just loves to ride.
I'm just a little guy 138 pounds so a 100 Miles an hour came fairly easy
and steady as a rock, I laughed all the way home. Don't get caught.
insurance is very reasonable as long as you don't get caught doing the above. This bike is also used at track races in the 250cc event it's about the only one out there..You will love it.
